People often tell me I'm brave and marvel at the things I do. But I'm not brave - fear is my constant companion. Yes, I created a remarkable life that I'm intensely grateful for, and I go on lots of adventures. But I am often afraid. I am also determined, however. Despite the fear, I want to experience life fully and live out my dreams. My story is one of challenging fear and never letting it win.
In 1998 I started Wild Blue Yonder, a whitewater rafting company based in Grande Cache, Alberta. In 2016 we added a second location in Revelstoke, BC. The expansion into another province had many learning opportunities.
I became president of the Alberta professional rafting association, PROAOA, in 2018. In BC, I was elected as a director of the BCROA. It's exciting to carry on the legacy of the legendary mentors I've had in the tourism industry.
With more leadership roles in the industry came the opportunity to manage and implement larger tourism projects for other organizations. This evolved into Atomic Tourism, a consulting business launched in 2022.
